The Family Rice: I wrapped presents today!

That's right. December 7th and I have a tree full of presents. I still have not finished buying for everyone, but the storage closet was getting full and I was just trying to avoid an avalanche. Why are men and boys so hard to buy for??

We've got lights up outside, tree and decorations up inside, and we are ready for Santa around here! Caleb is having a ball talking about what he wants for Christmas, helping us turn the Christmas tree on every day, and keeping Carly away from the tree.

I had Kris Kringle Mart in Whitehouse yesterday and did well, considering the city of Whitehouse does not plan very well and by noon, there were literally ZERO customers in the park. I made back my rent plus a few bucks, and got Carly a sweet hand-knitted bonnet by a sweet old English lady. It was very cold outside, 31 when we left the house, but I dressed in plenty of layers and kept the hot chocolate nearby and did alright. We decided to shut it down about 2:00 and were home by 2:30. Next Saturday is Holiday in the Park at Bergfeld, and I am hoping for beautiful weather again! Odds are against me though -- 4 for 4 would be pretty miraculous.
